Itinerary

  • Pick up
  • Kritinia Castle
If you want to find the place where fascinating history meets breathtaking beauty and dive into the charm of the Greek village, this place is for you. The castle of Kritinia is built on 131 m hill above the village. The original settlement with the name Kritinia was founded by the few families who escaped from Crete when it was taken by the Turks. Hence, the name of the place – Kritinia means New Crete. Initially the village was on the coast but had to be moved to the hill because of the constant threat from the pirates.
  • Embonas
Wineries near Embonas village are famous for producing the best wine in Greece. The village itself is incredible, being inland and relatively far from the big cities it is almost untouched and unspoiled by the tourism. Some inhabitants of the village still wear their traditional costumes and preserve local folklore. The houses are also brilliant examples of typical rural Greek architecture. All this looks like the decoration for a movie, but it is not, it is real! Enjoy wine, honey, olive oil tasting.
  • Lindos village
Lindos is one of the most impressive archaeological sites not only in Greece but also in the world. It has traces of different civilizations. Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine traditions blend here with the Medieval heritage of knights of the Order of Saint John. The visit to Lindos is like time travel via centuries and civilizations! If you go there, you will be delighted not only by the history but also by divine beauty. Take your time strolling lovely narrow streets of the village abundantly decorated with flowers, fruit trees, oriental tiles and small fountains. You will be impressed by incredible view of the harbours. The Acropolis of Lindos is on top of 116m cliff. For the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Knights of St John and Turks it was a wonderful strategic position. You can walk up the stairs and visit it or explore the village and its cosy bays
  • Monastery Tsambika ( Pass By)
Panagia Tsambika (Virgin Mary Tsambika) is now visited by thousands and thousands of couples from all around the world each year (both Greek and non-Greek) who have struggled to conceive or who wish to have their baby or child blessed for one reason or another.
  • Epta Piges
To fall in love with Rhodes once and forever you must visit this absolutely charming place - the Seven Springs or in Greek Epta Piges. It is only 27 km from the Town of Rhodes, but somehow you feel there far from loud civilization. Surrounded by tall pine trees of the Seven Springs with their cool, transparent water attract not only people tired from the hot weather and unpredictable stock exchange market but also local ducks and peacocks. From magical Seven Springs stroll dawn to the beautiful man-made lake. An artist who was long asleep inside you will be inevitably waken up by the picturesque landscapes around. To complete the experience, you may swim in refreshing crystalline waters of the lake. If you feel ready for the adventure, instead of taking a walking path to the lake, you can go through a 186 m long tunnel brings water from the Seven Springs to the lake. It was built in 1931 by the Italians.
After that, it will take about 1 hour to return to the starting point of this tour.

Had an excellent day with Alexis our tour guide. Included visit to Lindos and the Acropolis, Lunch looking over Monolithos Castle, Superb wine Tasting in Emponas and finishing with visit to the 7 springs including a walk through the tunnel to apparently cleanse our sins.
The places visited were perfect for us and Alexis was very knowledgeable about Rhodes as well as many other subjects we discussed during our time together.

Mark:
We spent a beautiful week in Rhodes, Greece and decided to book a full day guided tour of the island. Dimitra, our personal, very professional and extremely knowledgeable guide took us to all the most beautiful and interesting places in Rhodes. She told us much about its history and culture. If we were ever to return to Rhodes we would most assuredly use her services again. Our experience with her has made it the trip of a lifetime.

We booked this tour online through Viator. To be honest, we didn’t expect much from a small Greek isle but I can assure you that it’s not small and that our 1-day tour was breathtaking. We were 7 persons, 6 adults & 1 kid, and had a very comfortable minivan just for us. Our guide and driver Georgos made sure to give us all the interesting facts and stories about Rhodes history. His sense of humous was outstanding. He took us to the most beautiful places including mountain village famous for its wineries. We had wine tasting and loved Greek wines! We miss Rhodes and plan to revisit. In few words, I highly recommend this tour operator, very trustworthy, reliable, efficient saying nothing of our favourite guide Georgos

The initial group tour was cancelled, as the season was coming to a close and there was an insufficient number of tourists. I was rather disappointed, as it was my last full day in Rhodes.
To my great pleasure, somebody called Alexis came to my rescue. He promptly organised a private tour for me, and came himself to act as a guide.
And what a wonderful trip it was. Alexis took me to three great places of cultural, historical and spiritual interest, combined with views of perfect natural beauty. He demonstrated a great love for his country, true Greek hospitality and human warmth. He made the journey flexible for me, taking care of my comfort and safety.
The trip is suitable practically for everybody; there is one place with climbing, but it is not too challenging (just wear sensible shoes). The car was roomy and air conditioned, so 7 hour journey was pleasant and comfortable.
I know Alexis was prepared to give me more time, but I decided to see more next year instead!
I have a pleasure of recommending Alexis and thus tour to everybody who would like to have a truly perfect day.

Alexis was our tour guide and he was exceptional. His energy levels stayed high from start to finish and he was a wealth of knowledge on the history of Rhodes while maintaining light heartedness and humour throughout the day.
